I enjoy both the shows very much and lately many other shows have started acknowledging their popularity (for example, CNBC's Kudlow takes pride whenever he is covered in their shows).

I think we need to be pretty careful in the way we approach him, because he seems to be highly opinionated and passionate about things he cares for and at the same time he will go lengths to screw someone/something that he does not like/believe in. So I think IV core/media relations team should do their due diligence before contacting him.
If he agrees to cover our situation it will help us a lot. Great idea OP.

I've been impressed by Senator Graham's willingness to help move forward immigration reform, but this is really pathetic. Graham reported on his meeting today with President Obama and Senator Schumer. In worst case, if 202-a5 was eliminated, do you thing EB visas will be diverted to FB? Will A3 give any protection to EB catagory? 202-a3 will give more protection for FB class due to 10 to 12 years of backlogs in 4th preference FB catagory? If so, it tottaly violates the quota in EB and FB class and there is no meaning of preference level.

Tom Tancredo is a very narrow minded individual with myopic vision, he seems to be in a state of denial. I think he wouldn't be able to further deteriorate the already messed up situation.

I agree and appreciate whatever IV is doing to improve the situation of people who is on the immigration Path Employment or Family.
But yesterday I was watching the media, none of the media even just marginally said about our EB immigration. back log. what steps IV has taken so far to get the media attention? it is very said media equating immigration = Illegal.
Please work towards that too.

I think we have better chance this time, I noticed that numbersusa.com is referring to this bill as it is only for EB cases and not for CIR or SKIL. Thnaks for the updates.

My lawyer just informed me that I received an RFE on my wife's 485
USCIS is asking for "Memorandum of marriage"
Is it the same as Marriage certificate. I have already send the marriage certificate which states that the marriage has been registered under Hindu marriage registration rules. My name as well as my wifes name and date of amrriage is there.
Why do they need this additional proof Not sure. Has anyone faced this RFE?
Looks like some crazy guys are working in USCIS hell bent on harassing legal immigrants.
I have been given just four weeks to respond.

I would like to appeal to all the people who want to travel outside the country and would need a new visa stamp to come back to US....please...please...please do not take this risk unless it is a family emergency (a life and death situation rather than a brother,sister getting married).
Cant attend own brothers wedding because we are scared of the possibility of MAYBE getting a delayed visa stamping?? what kind of life is that? ....

It would be helpful to others if you can blog the cover letter and the AP explanation letter.
Great, so I see so many fast cases here.
I had all my docs well organized, also put tabs corresponding to the list numers on cover letter for quick access. I also included self addressed prepaid priority envelope.

We want to make IV famous at this event and need sales personnel to talk to visitors.
Please sign up on this thread if you would like to volunteer for this task.
We need all the help we can get. 30,000 + attendees expected to attend the event.
This will be on Nov 10 th 2007 from 3pm - 11pm. Please vote and let me know if you can be there for the entire duration or choose a time slot.

When you submit your passport for renewal, they usually give you a receipt with pickup date. This date is anywhere between 2 weeks to 6 weeks.
If you want you can request them to mail your new passport by paying extra $15 for mailing.
If you are going to pickup the passport by person, then you should be there between 4PM-5:15PM. Thats the delivery time.
In DC office you can not pickup anything before 2PM. Remember this

What I am worried is that even if I drive 5 hours to pick up, if they haven't processed my application (its close to 4 weeks now since I have applied), I will run out of options. On the website they claim that they will process in 5 business days. I must have tried close to 5 different phone numbers multiples times for past week or so. I have also emailed and faxed my query multiple times. Same result - No response at all. I just don't get how work is done at the embassy.

When they do FP, they tries to match with criminal database. Why do they want to match to the Port of entry or Security clearance database and give RED color warning. I think it is something you need to work with your attorney. Even in Name check, they tries to match with Criminal first, middle or last names and if match found, they do some investigation on your case. Same logic goes with FP. They won't match with good records, but they tries to search in bad records. It is simple common sense. Nothing to panic, but check with your attorney.
